Vikram Kuriyan, Chairman
Dr. Kuriyan is Chairman at GWA. Previously, he was Chairman of the Global Asset Allocation committee and global head of Quantitative Strategies at Bank of America’s asset management division. His unit managed over $30 billion of client assets across a multiplicity of strategies. Dr Kuriyan is also a faculty member and founder of the Investment Laboratory at the Indian School of Business. Dr Kuriyan earned his PhD at Harvard University where he specialized in capital markets, spent a year in the MBA program at the Harvard Business School and received a Masters degree in Engineering Science from Harvard University. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been an adviser and portfolio manager to some of the worlds’ largest sovereign wealth funds. He has also advised the Securities and Exchange Board of India. He is an independent director at TVS Capital Funds and a trustee of the CFA Institute Research Foundation.
Robert Jones, Vice Chairman
Mr. Jones is head of thought leadership at GWA. Mr Jones is one of the earliest managers of fundamentally weighted portfolios with commercial clients starting in 1989. He is also Chairman of System Two Advisors, where he focuses on the design of investment processes. Prior to founding System Two, Mr. Jones founded the Global Quantitative Equity Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 1989, which grew to over $100B in AUM under his leadership. Mr. Jones was named a partner of Goldman Sachs in 2002 and retired in 2010. Mr. Jones graduated with a BA in American Civilization from Brown University in 1978, and an Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Michigan in 1980. Mr. Jones has written many articles on investing for major publications, including The Financial Analysts Journal, The Journal of Investing, and The Journal of Portfolio Management. Mr. Jones has also contributed chapters to many books, including Modern Investment Management: An Equilibrium Approach. Mr. Jones is on the Investment Advisory Board at the University of Michigan, is a board member of the David Lynch Foundation, and is a member and Past President of the Society of Quantitative Analysts (SQA).
Jonathan Marmolejos, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Marmolejos is the Chief Operating Officer at GWA. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer at System Two Advisors. He is responsible for all operations, compliance, and administrative functions. He also drives many of the firm’s initiatives in building out an institutional quality infrastructure. Prior to joining System Two, Mr. Marmolejos was the Director of Operations & Deputy Compliance Officer at Roc Capital Management. Before Roc Capital, Mr. Marmolejos was a Controller for the Equitech proprietary trading group at Deutsche Bank, was a Program Manager / Technical Operations leader at General Electric, and participated in GE’s Information Management Leadership Program where he received his Six Sigma (quality) certification. He received his BA in Computer Science from Hamilton College and completed his Executive MBA from the Columbia Business School.
Art Goetchius, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Goetchius is GWA's Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for finance, compliance and human resources. He also serves as Wall Street Access' Chief Executive Officer. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall University and had been a certified public accountant with the firm of Touche Ross & Co. Mr. Goetchius holds the following licenses: Series 7, 63, 8, 14, 24, 27, 53 and 65.
